Courses

Stone carving courses are run throughout the year from the workshop. These are taken on a weekend basis. Courses cost £130 for 2 days. The price includes your stone, tools and tuition. Accommodation can be found on request.

If you have any ideas of what you may like to carve on the course then you are welcome to bring these with you , whether these are in sketch form or a small model etc. If you have no real ideas then that is fine as it is often best to wait until you have selected your stone and played around with some of the tools before committing yourself.

It is amazing how much can be achieved in such a short space of time and pupils generally go away with a finished piece of work or with a sculpture that can be easily finished away from the workshop. Advise will also be given over the weekend of the best places for purchasing tools and stone.
