The stone carving course was a success last weekend with some stunning creations. Well done to those who came along, among the carvings were a Brancusi style head and a naked torso in Ancaster Limestone, an Australian Bull frog and a hugging couple in Portland Limestone and a beautifully crafted piece of drapery carved in sandstone. The next courses will probably be in September and I will release some dates shortly. Please e-mail me if you would like to be added to the mailing list.

Meanwhile, I have finished work on “The White Horses of Lutterworth”! The project which has been rumbling along for almost 2 years was essentially completed today. The sculpture measuring over 20 metres in length and 5 metres high is sited in the Leicestershire town which was formerly a very prominent coaching stop. The sculpture is visible from a considerable distance as you approach the town and will be a landmark artwork for the town for many years to come.
